Platforms

#CAÑadaCAN Collaborate

This pillar centers on nurturing the internal talent within the Computer Studies cluster. It ensures that Chammies are given a platform to gain experience and lead, turning individual potential into collective strength.

Linking Skills

Chammies should be more than just an entry in a database. We are transforming the Chammie Sonar from general data gathering into a Talent Roster that links unique proficiencies directly to cluster involvements.

  • ·Mechanism: Spearheaded by the Year Representatives at the start of every semester, we will conduct a comprehensive skills census via GForms to match students with specific events. This ensures the CSSEC serves as the connecting bridge, inviting Chammies (especially Freshmen and Sophomores) to gain hands-on experience in roles that fit their growth, ensuring that every placement is intentional and aligned with student development.

Linking Stories

This platform introduces a fresh approach to cluster journalism, creating a connective hub for the CS community to bloom through storytelling. This moves beyond standard announcements to document the achievements of Chammies in competitions, industry innovations, and community partners.

  • ·Mechanism: To prevent burnout and ensure consistent output, we will implement a "Sprint & Rotate" workflow. The CSSEC and its committees will work in focused phases to produce batches of content ahead of time, ensuring regular posts on the CSSEC Website and Facebook Page even during busy academic weeks. Furthermore, we will actively tap into the Talent Roster (from Linking Skills) to recruit guest contributors for specific features, ensuring the workload is distributed across the cluster rather than falling solely on a few officers.

#CAÑadaCAN Connect

This pillar brings the influence of the CS Cluster outward to the university and faculty. It is committed to being a strong advocate for all Chammies, ensuring that student rights are protected and constituent feedback is transformed into high-quality, data-driven policy.

Linking Rights

This platform serves as a holistic assessment of the Chammie experience following major academic hurdles. It moves beyond complaints to focus on constructive feedback regarding student well-being and the academic environment.

  • ·Mechanism: The Office of the President will conduct anonymous Post-Exam Check-ins via GForms after every major exam.
    • Step 1 (Internal): Data is anonymized and synthesized into a report.
    • Step 2 (Dialog): These findings are primarily presented to the Department Chairs and Assistant Dean to foster a collaborative resolution within the cluster.
    • Step 3 (Escalation): If formal written responses are not provided within a reasonable timeframe, the data will be escalated to the University-wide StRAW or SAMAHAN Department of Academic Affairs for further assistance.

Linking Policy

This acts as a bridge between constituent-driven feedback and formal university policy. Working in tandem with the CSSEC Processors Team, the Council will ensure that the concerns and sentiments shared by Chammies are systematically documented and formally endorsed.

  • ·Mechanism: We will conduct Targeted Policy Surveys in the middle of each semester to gather specific feedback on grading systems, workload distribution, consultation hours, and academic support services. The CSSEC Processors Team will compile this data and officially endorse the findings to the Office of the External Vice President, providing the necessary evidence to advocate for student-centric policies.

#CAÑadaCAN Coordinate

This pillar focuses on ensuring the Council is a constant, reliable presence for the CS Cluster. This pillar is dedicated to active advocacy, ensuring that no Chameleon is left behind.

Linking Communication

This platform ensures the communication line between the CS Cluster and the faculty remains active and highly responsive. Through scheduled regular consultations with the Department and Cluster Administration, we ensure that event reports and student feedback are officially relayed to the faculty.

  • ·Mechanism: We will conduct Strategic Consultations with the CS administration to discuss cluster updates and concerns. To ensure transparency, the CSSEC will release summarized transparency reports accompanied by documentation when appropriate and with consent after these sessions. This keeps the community in the loop regarding the steps being taken to address student concerns.
